Ciao Italia!
A global IT company with a 50,000 plus user base requires a Messaging Consultant to join their team in Southern Italy.
Your role will be to support the design, implementation, administration and maintenance of their Microsoft Exchange 2013-based messaging infrastructure. This is an initial 6-month position that has the potential to extend far longer and it is an English-speaking role.

Messaging Engineer duties:

. Provide administration and maintenance of a large MS Exchange 2013 messaging infrastructure.
. Manage and maintain standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools.
. Support Exchange projects including migrations.
. Have responsibility for design, final testing and deployment of email solutions.
. Incident management, troubleshooting and providing messaging related solutions, all based on a ticketing system.
. Provide related technical documentation.
. Analyse the technical needs of customer, end-users and all stakeholders, providing support and solutions as required.
. Develop plans for Messaging improvement via the ITIL service level management process.
. Perform other duties as required.
. Work a standard 8 hour day but possibly provide some out of hours support if needed.

Messaging skills required for the role:

. At least 8 years of experience in operating and maintaining large scale MS Exchange messaging infrastructure.
. Expert knowledge of MS Exchange 2010 and 2013.
. MCSE or MCSM certification, preferred.
. Good knowledge of MS Active Directory.
. Experience with Lync 2013, Skype for Business or related Messaging or Unified Communication solutions.
. Variety of project experience including migrations.
. Familiarity with SMTP Relay, Mail Gateway, Spam and Virus filtering systems (Symantec Mail Gateway, IronPort or similar).
. VMWare and virtualisation knowledge, desirable.
. Management or monitoring tool experience will be a bonus (SCOM etc).
. ITIL knowledge and certification.
. Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal).
. Any Italian language skills will be helpful due to the location.

Brindisi is a town in the Puglia region of Italy. Located on the heel of the boot it offers a traditional Italian way of life and includes a waterfront, restaurants, bars and shops, easy access to other local towns (Bari/Lecce) and close proximity to some amazing beaches and countryside. It also has a very affordable cost of living including accommodation, and there is a local airport servicing various international destinations.
