Engineering Manager - P&P/LV
An Engineering Manager with power and propulsion (low voltage) experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Glasgow.
This is a 6 month contract working for a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Engineering Manager contract role
Provide engineering expertise to the delivery of our clients naval Integrated Power and Propulsion System, including interfacing with LV team. Manage the engineering resource for such projects including the delivery of engineering work and services using typically an Integrated Project Team comprising of members of many disciplines where multiple interfaces with customers and suppliers.
Key skills required for the Engineering Manager
- Ability to operate in a large, complex project at engineering management level in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Knowledge and experience in use of ship design processes and systems to LCM guidelines.
- High degree of Technical knowledge and strong problem solving.
- Ideally Degree qualified in Platform Engineering related discipline.
- Experience to Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Standard, experience in Platform engineering design roles at all levels.
- Experience in all aspects of Electrical System design cycle. (Modelling, Procurement etc).
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh
