Commercial Sourcing Manager (m/f)

Your tasks:
  • Develop and oversee the execution of commercial strategies which underpin the sourcing recommendations for advanced automotive electronic projects
  • Sourcing research for key products for technology electronic projects like ADAS, CMS etc.
  • Develop a capable sourcing team to assist in the development of new electronics products and in delivering on customer projects
  • Assist in the relevant global supplier development process to ensure the differentiation of design, timing to market, the competitiveness cost and the robustness of quality, especially for the total solutions of the optical path (image, HMI and ECU)
  • Lead negotiations with key vendors including the negotiation and wording of supplier development and production contracts with the support of the legal department
  • Prepare, submit and analyse request for strategy, information and quote for advanced automotive electronic solutions including production tooling and equipment (NRE)
  • Accountable to the technology roadmap, the concept initialisation, the project development and the product release
  • Responsibility from the scout of innovation to the SOP
  • Monthly management and project reporting as defined by the organisation
  • All other duties as required to assist in local, regional, global purchasing and operating group activities of the company


Your qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant commercial or engineering discipline
  • Profound experience in a purchasing or relevant commercial function
  • Solid professional experience in electronics development, either directly (engineering) or indirectly (commercial)
  • Proven strategic sourcing and negotiation experience including contract creation and management
  • Experience in automotive ISO standards relevant to electronics systems, including functional safety (ASIL)
  • Existing, established relationships with certain key Tier 2/Tier 3 automotive electronics suppliers with preference to ECUs assemblies, displays, cameras, sensor suppliers
  • Supplier development and design-to-cost experience in electronics components
  • Working knowledge of reading, analysing and interpreting technical electronic component drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills including ability to read and write commercial contracts
  • German verbal and written language skills are beneficial
