Sr. Interaction Designer

Atlanta, GA

6+ month contract

They are currently seeking a UX/Interaction Designer to join their team.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Take business requirements and develop the total technical design for assigned mid-sized projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production.

Follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards.

Conduct appropriate test reviews on assigned projects as necessary. Present findings and offer solutions to management.

Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology

No direct responsibility for supervising others

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must pass the Drug Test

Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses

EDUCATION REQUIRED

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3 plus years of demonstrable experience as a UX Designer, Interaction Designer, UX Architect, and/or Information Architect

Deliverables will include but are not limited to: mental models, user journeys, personas, scenarios, low & high fidelity prototypes, wireframes

Understanding and experience of UX within an Agile Development Process

Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data and present findings and recommendations

Experience producing annotated wireframes, & clickable prototypes

Comfortable communicating with software developers, product owners, and marketing professionals

Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team; consistently demonstrating effective management of shifting priorities, delivering thorough work products, and meeting project deadlines

Solid experience employing a variety of user-centered iterative design methodologies and objective evaluation techniques (eg, requirements visualization, design studio, contextual inquiry, rapid contextual design, user journey mapping.)

Effective communicator that can influence through well thought out designs and research, not through authority

Solid proficiency with a variety of rapid prototyping and visualization tools (eg, Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Visio, Adobe CC, UXPin, etc.), with at least a high-level understanding of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be used for prototyping purposes

Experience participating and facilitating user research and usability

Degree in Engineering, Psychology, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Interaction Design, HCI or other related technology degree or equivalent work experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

Ability to communicate issues and recommended solutions in a timely manner

Solid experience in documenting requirements
