What is the purpose of this role?

This Water utilities company based in the Thames Valley is looking for a Communications & engagement specialist reporting to the Communications & Engagement Workstream Lead, to support the delivery and execution of the Spring project Communications and Engagement strategy and plan. You will be responsible for managing the Spring Programme network of Communication Champions and Engagement Events.

What will this role involve?

Alongside the Communications & Engagement Workstream Lead and Digital Channel Specialist, you will create and execute targeted engaging content and campaigns - both proactive and reactive.

You will support the Communications & Engagement team in delivering the Communications and Engagement programme such as multimedia visual campaigns and digital content.

Manage the Communication & Engagement network of Communication Champions

Create both proactive and reactive content in line with the Communications & Engagement Programme to ensure Champions are equipped to deliver a consistent message

Suggest and implement engaging campaigns artworked by the teams Graphic Designer

Through consulting with stakeholders organise engagement events for differing audience groups ensuring this has low impact with Thames Water's Resource and Forecasting team

Manage two-way feedback channels such as surveys and focus groups

Report and evaluate the effectiveness of the Communication Champions and Events in taking audience groups through change

What skills are we looking for?

You will be known to have extensive experience in managing multimedia content for employee engagement including film and visual campaigns, with extensive experience in managing large scale events

You will have numerous years' experience working in a similar role within a Marketing Communications team

You will be known to be a strong copywriter with Intermediate user experience of Creative Cloud Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

You will have worked in an environment not used to change and have strong organisational skills, you are self-reliant, working to own initiative and have the ability to work to tight deadlines, and to work under pressure

You will be educated to a degree level in Communications and Marketing or similar field

Your previous experience in communications activities includes working in an operational contact centre environment with experience in Water & Sewage organisation or Utilities or financial services.

You will be able to demonstrate in working with Internal and/or external marketing with a strong involvement in social media, film, copyrighting and internal public relations.
