Description
Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Media Relations Officer on an initial 9 month contract, with a high likelihood of extension. The team is responsible for is responsible for promoting the wide-ranging work of the organisations to print, broadcast, specialist and online media and providing journalists with up-to-date information. You will be responsible for providing key media support, delivering targeted campaigns and evaluating media outputs and outcomes.
Essential skills:
. Experience of devising and implementing media/public relations/communications strategies
. Proven track record in dealing with the media effectively on a daily basis
. The ability to work with a range of different people, at different levels and with different demands and requirements
. The ability to balance competing demands to best effect for media promotion
. Experience of working in a fast moving environment with the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively and meet tight deadlines
