User Researcher sought to join one of the best companies in the world (large search engine provider) on a part time basis (3 or 4 days a week).
The Role:
Work with designers, product managers, engineers and research managers to identify, prioritize, and plan research engagements in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research studies using a variety of methodologies, including in lab user studies, surveys, and field interviews, to help answer important research questions.
- Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research findings.
- Evangelize research findings to stakeholders through written reports and engaging presentations
Requirements:
- At least four years experience conducting, analysing, and communicating results of user research studies in a technical environment.
- Experience or background conducting mobile research.
- MA./M.S./Ph.D. (in progress or completed) in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other field emphasizing human behavior a plus.
- Experience and with statistics and experimental design a plus.
- Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
