Our client in Glasgow require a part time Marketing Officer to join their team, on a 1 month contract starting ASAP.
You will be providing Media Relations support, identifying target media and influencers for specific projects and destination themes. You will internal colleagues as well as industry partners, plan and co-ordinate itineraries and a planning calendar for a programme of events. You will also be tasked with researching and disseminating media collateral (print and online) across a wide range of consumer and lifestyle topics, and produce reports, documents and presentations as required.
Experience Required:
* Relevant experience working on own initiative in a time pressured communications environment, either in-house or agency side.
* Creative flair and copywriting skills (print and web)
* Strong organisational and delivery skills
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
* Ability to utilise software packages such as Microsoft Word, Gmail, Powerpoint and Excel
* People focused, enthusiastic team player who has demonstrated experience of working in a multidiscipline team
* Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders
* Strong interest and enthusiasm for keeping up to date with latest PR industry trends and best practices.
Please note, this role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including working at weekends and evenings.
