Description
A government department in Canberra is seeking a Content Designer to work within an existing delivery team in the Department.
As a digital content specialist, you will help government to radically improve government information and services. You will need outstanding writing and editing skills along with the ability to translate complicated information into plain English. You will work in an agile environment, producing user-centered content quickly and efficiently.

Essential skills and experience
- Deliver content that meets accessibility standards
- Deliver content that will work on all device formats (responsive design)
- Deliver content that is simple and easy to read
- Identify user needs and demonstrate how content decisions support these needs
- Create content design hypotheses to improve the service and work with the product manager, userresearcher, interaction designer and delivery manager.
Nice-to-have skills and experience
Knowledge of the Digital Service Standard, the Service Design and Delivery Process and the Content Guide.
This is an initial 6 months contract role with further 6 months extension options if required.
The role requires the candidate to be an Australian Citizen and hold Baseline clearance prior to commencement.
