Human Factors Engineer vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- 5+ years of work experience in human factors engineering or usability to medical devices development based in the pharmaceutical sector
- Deep understanding of human factors engineering processes to medical device development from a general concept generation to health authority submission
- Expertise with project and program management as well as with developing apps and software along with industrial design
- Experience in managing user studies plus in developing and documenting work processes regarding human factors activities for medical devices as required by regulation
- Familiarity with different risk management activities
- University degree in engineering, ergonomics, psychology, human factors, usability, user interface design, industrial design, graphic design or a similar field
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Providing human factors support for the whole product development lifecycle including user needs identification, development of user profiles and use scenarios, task analysis and many other
- Planning and performing formative and summative user studies, reporting and presenting design recommendations to the project team via external vendors or internal facilities
- Designing instruction for use and user interface
- Proposing design improvements of the developed product
- Executing anthropometric, biomechanical, ergonomic and systems safety analyses identifying and assessing risk in product development
