Contract- 3 months initially
INSIDE IR35
Remote initially, flexible working from Nottingham thereafter
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Retail and Pharmaceutical company for a Senior UX Designer to join them on a contractual basis.
3 months initially with a view to extend.
As Senior UX Designer you will be joining a high performing team of specialist user experience design experts and play a part in creating the future digital experience with a feature packed roadmap ahead.
As part of the Digital Product team, the user experience designers create beautiful, simple and coherent digital experiences for customers.
This role is essential to researching, designing and delivering best in class user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) work for new development projects, spanning the entirety of the design process. You'll work closely with the Product Owner and scrum team to ensure successful communication of concepts and designs.
What we are looking for in a Senior UX Designer:
Design experience:
- 6+ years digital design experience, with supporting portfolio of work
- Relevant degree in HCI, interactive/multimedia design, computer science or similar (beneficial)
- Responsive design
- Designing for accessibility compliance to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
- Interpreting high level brand guidelines into detailed digital design guidelines
- Setting design principles and best practices
- Designing within brand style guides and design principles
- App design (beneficial)
- Ecommerce design (beneficial)
- Working understanding of Front End Development
- Agile and lean methodologies
Design skills:
- First class digital designer with the ability to flex across UX & UI throughout our User Centred Design (UCD) process
- Information architecture (IA)
- Visual design (UI)
- Interaction design (IxD)
- Power user of relevant wireframing, visual design and prototyping tools (eg Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.).
- Experienced with different user research and testing methodologies, quant and qual, face-to-face and remote
- Ability to confidently use analytics and insights to support design decisions

The role will be remote initially given COVID restrictions and flexible working from Nottingham thereafter.
My client is no longer engaging with Limited companies and so you'd be required to work via an umbrella company from day 1- we currently have a PSL in place- you would be required to work via one of these organisations
