Senior UX Researcher sought by leading financial services organisation based in Surrey/remote.

*Inside IR35 - Hybrid working*

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior User Researcher you'll be responsible for planning, conducting and analysing user research to help our product teams deliver digital services that create the best possible customer experience and outcomes.

You'll act as an advocate for the end user, and help ensure that our product teams take an evidence based approach to their decision making by conducting primary research and testing.

You will help the team to develop its toolset of user centred methods by mentoring and advising colleagues on user research, and contributing to our processes and standards for valid, reliable and ethical research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct and analyse user research, using a variety of methods, to ensure our digital services provide the best possible customer experience and outcomes. Including usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), user interviews, contextual enquiry, tree tests, card sorts, and click tests.
  • Deliver actionable research findings to help inform the design of our digital services.
  • Contribute to and implement best practice process and standards for user research to help ensure all of our research is valid, reliable and ethical.
  • Support other User Researchers within the team with a hands-on approach and willingness to collaborate.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues from the team and the wider business, acting as an advocate for the end customer.
  • Evangelise user research within the team and wider business, providing guidance and education on appropriate research methodologies where required.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Knowledge and experience of different user research methods and tools, when to apply them, and how to apply them correctly.
  • Communicating research findings in a clear and actionable way to help drive better customer experiences
  • Engaging a multi-disciplinary team and stakeholders within the research process.
  • Planning and managing research studies effectively, ensuring timely and precise delivery of user research insights.
  • Can advocate and evangelise for user research, engaging sceptical colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Applying ethical research standards to ensure that participants' personal data is safeguarded..
  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in a relevant field is desirable (eg user experience, usability, human factors, human computer interaction, sociology, psychology, service design, computer science).
