Description

Templeton and Partners are looking for a Service Designer for one of our multinational client in gas and oil sector.

Location: London (remote until further notice)
Contract: 6-12 months (inside IR35)

What you'll need in your toolkit:
A real breadth in your strategic design expertise-from research techniques to workshop facilitation to service design thinking and more importantly, doing
The ability to be highly independent, confident and flexible to adapt to a fluid landscape
The capacity to learn and adapt to new ways of working and thinking, communicating effectively through storytelling and visuals yet also in a language that resonates with the business
The aptitude to effectively manage and leverage stakeholders, illustrating the valuethat design can bring to the enterprise

What does a week in the life look like?
At aportfolio/project level:
Be actively involved in a ndowning the desirability component of astrategic portfolio engagement.
This may involve advocating a design thinking approach, defining problems, crafting propositions at service, system, and business design levels and taking a human centred lens to embedding products and services
Support the facilitation of workshops to prioritise, ideate and define opportunities
Work withthe wider organisation and cross functional project teams to clarify business problems
Actively interact with a wider variety of stakeholders to represent design and the design team
Assisting business stakeholders and Productowners with setting productscopeand translating the vision intostrategy whilst considering user and business needs as well as technology constraints
Taking a rigorous strategic approach to Product portfolios, and digital transformation.
Evaluating risk to judge portfolios and roadmaps
Using a lean innovation approach; forming and testinghypothesis viaresearch and working software
Helping to creating business cases for products, defining KPIs, and measuring product success metrics
Helping to model business processes and creatinga deeper understanding of the business landscape

An appreciation andunderstanding of UX and digital design practices eg design systems, usability testing etc.
System design and/or business design experienceas well as any experience with sustainabilityand sustainable business.
You have worked in/with Product; having some knowledge of Product Management and Agile ways of working including user stories writing, backlog management and acceptance criteria creation
You have experience in green energy, sustainability or environmental areas.
A quality of visual design and communication that is engaging and impactful-delivered through tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
Have an understanding orat leastappreciation of digital development and technology
Keepup to date on the latest thinking in the world of design; having a real passion to bring the latest practices and tools into where and how we work
