Communications and Coordination Specialist
Central London - 2 days in office, 3 days remote
1 year contract
Day rate up to £218PD Via umbrella

Purpose of the role

You will be responsible for executing and coordinating a variety of important departmental meetings (Townhalls, quarterly meetings, etc), as well as developing and implementing effective socialisation plans and relevant platforms for key cross-divisional/functional initiatives. Using multiple digital and communication channels, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing web platforms and content, producing highly targeted communication materials and offering coordination support for key Matrix teams and networks, across a broad ex-US geographic footprint spanning multiple regions (Asia Pacific, Europe Middle East & Africa, Latin America, Canada and US HQ).

Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Exec Director and team members,
Creating and executing a complete communications strategy, including digital channels, that integrates our key initiatives and builds the profile of our team and wider organisation across the company
Building web platforms and managing timely updates to SharePoint, Bright Idea and other microsites on various platforms, creating web content such as landing pages, news updates, meeting invitations, and other web-based engagement initiatives
Designing and delivering interactive project reports (ie. Sway), newsletters and other tools to enable the connectivity and Real Time interaction of highly matrixed teams
Offer project coordination support to selected initiatives, including maintaining email lists, and following up on content generation for the relevant digital channels
Producing high quality email newsletters with content tailored to audiences that include our broader division, other key company partners, and spanning multiple jurisdictions globally
Tracking, analysing, and reporting on social media metrics, meeting and email engagement, and web traffic.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years of experience in digital media or communications, preferably with a science communication/journalism background in academia or biopharma industry;
Strong experience with all Microsoft digital tools, including content management systems;
Strong skills with design programs such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to create professional-looking communication materials and assets;
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Microsoft Office;
Working knowledge of CSS and HTML;
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an ability to distill complex ideas into effective, understandable messages;
Excellent organisational skills, an ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining flexibility;
Ability to work independently and on teams, and respond well to guidance and direction, while identifying creative and innovative solutions.
Demonstrated ability to network and work collaboratively across organizational levels, and build Matrix environments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Experience managing full website creation and redesign.
o Graphic design experience, with a keen eye for print layout and web presentation.
