An excellent opportunity for a SAP MM - Master Data Expert (Procure-to-pay) to join a leading international end client on a minimum 6 to 12 month contract + long extensions. Start ASAP. Must be based in the UK or EU and happy to travel up to 40% within Europe.
You will be Accountable for efficient and high quality of Purchase to Pay (P2P) Master Data. Support and deploy Global Master Data Management best practice solutions and business processes on functional level. Establish and maintain a stable and unified structure of Procurement and Finance master data to ensure this way the proper environment for PTP activities. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for PTP Master data. Manage cross functional communications on change of Master Data for stakeholders and conducting of trainings for relevant systems end-users. Ensure ownership of master data maintenance to support efficiency of PTP operating activities as well as accuracy of reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Master Data accuracy improvement initiatives to support data enrichment
- Audit data quality of P2P in order to improve efficiency of the accounting process and support data cleansing
- Review policies related to maintaining Chart of Accounts, Invoice approval workflows, thresholds
- Ensure ownership of master data maintenance in each country/business function
- Co-drive the implementation of content management (catalogs, web forms, MSAs, price lists, preferred suppliers ) defined by procurement.
- Develop SOPs that facilitate knowledge of process model activities, tailoring procedure guides for training and operational requirements
- Provide local End User or SME training upon request
Key Skills:
- Experienced in Vendor Master Data (preferably in SAP S/4), GR/IR maintenance
- 3+ years experience in P2P (Procurement or/and Finance)
- Excellent understanding of master data management principles
- Very good understanding of end-to-end P2P process
- Excellent cross functional communication skills with stakeholders
- Fluent in Business English both written and oral
