Location: Manchester
Rate: £400-£600/day

We're looking for a Communications Specialist to ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day management of the Communications function for a major, high priority programme. The role sits within the Design Authority (the DA), a small team responsible for the approval of project design solutions and the Quality Assurance function. The purpose of the role is to plan, co-ordinate and oversee the execution of all internal and external communications necessary to ensure that the critical path for the project is achieved, ensuring that all key stakeholders are appropriately informed at all times. This includes drafting of letters and obtaining subsequent sign off. It will also include an element of writing management updates on behalf of the Delivery Director.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a highly effective customer facing and internal communications plan within a fast paced, multi-faceted project environment.
- Deliver pro-active, practical and effective communications support to managers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Work as part of a highly focused team (the DA) planning, co-ordinating and delivering an effective project communications plan dovetailing with bank-wide communications strategy and plans.
- Significant stakeholder management responsibilities, especially regarding gaining agreement to an array of communications.

I am looking for candidates with the following experience:

- Highly organised and logical, with exceptional attention to detail and ability to focus on achieving immediate, short and medium term objectives
- Confident, assertive and adept with people, able to co-ordinate individuals and groups to achieve tight deadlines and demanding expectations
- With significant knowledge of banking products and financial services, able to reliably deliver a demanding and varied workload with competing priorities, naturally setting themselves a very high standard.
- Self-motivated and willing to be hands on and 'roll sleeves up' to get things done, not just organise others to do so.
- Goal-orientated with priority being tasks completed to high standard in timely manner.
- Highly skilled verbal and written communicator, able to develop customer centric external communications whilst keeping other internal and external stakeholders (e.g. the Regulator) informed of progress, taking their feedback on board and adapting communications content according to the audience and catering for any political sensitivity.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
