A Senior Communications Manager with Business Transformation, Marketing, PR, Strategy skills/
experience is required to work on a twenty month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Cumbria.
Overview of the Senior Communications Manager Contract role
- Develop and implement an overarching communications and engagement strategy in support of major business transformation activity.
- Plan and manage communications activities in support of the strategy.
- Lead day-to-day communications of key transformation activities and where appropriate help manage others to deliver the strategy.
- Engage with key business stakeholders and manage relationships to support the effective delivery of the strategy.
- Engage with external agencies, where required. For Example: Support to branding, AV Material
Key skills required for the Senior Communications Manager
- Degree and/or relevant professional certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience of delivering communications strategies in large scale, complex organisations, ideally with a mix of staff and manual employees.
- Experience in providing professional communications advice to senior leaders, up to and including directors.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing communication strategies, ideally within a transformation context.
- Proven ability to persuade and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
