My NHS Client based in the South West is currently looking for a Mental Health Project manager to work on an acute care pathway project.

The Position will start ASAP, initially for 3 months, with a possibility of extension.

The day rate will be £300-£450 subject to experience

The Mental Health Project Manager will be reporting to the Programme manager and working on a programme to redesign services, to introduce acute care pathways and reduce out of area bed usage and delayed transfer of care.

On a day to day basis the Project Manager will be integrating with inpatients wards.

A large piece of the work will be around Community Service Delivery - making sure that the community service teams are working closely with the Acute Trusts to make sure patients are handled correctly, and given the support needed to reduce readmission.

There will be three particular workstreams, which will be introduced into localities;

- Facilitating a personality disorder pathway

- Inpatient service improvement - bed management

- Community service delivery - decreasing re-admissions

The successful Project manager will have experience in;

- NHS Service improvement

- Mental Health

- NHS Service Redesign

- Report writing

- Microsoft project

- Prince2

- Relationship building and stakeholder engagement

A drivers licence and car will also be needed as you will be required to visit other sites from time to time.

The ideal Project manager will have a background in Mental Health, additional experience in Acute would be beneficial.
