Role: Senior Cisco Network Engineer (CCNP)Location: Dublin (West)
Rate: Negotiable
Type: 6 month daily rate contract
A Dublin based company in the IT Consultancy industry requires a Senior Network Engineer to join a growing team. As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing leading-edge security, networking and telephony technologies primarily in their service provider customer base
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- WAN - DSL
- Wireless LAN
- Wireless LAN Controllers
- CISCO Switches 3500 series & 3700 series
- Cisco routers/switches.
- Cisco ASA
- Cisco/Checkpoint VPN
- Fortinet Firewalls
- Routing Protocols OSPF/BGP/EIGRP.
- IT network design and consulting experience within a telco or service provider network
- A proven track record of providing services in an enterprise or service provider environment, working with routers, switches, firewalls and VPN's
Day-to-day Duties
- Patching Devices
- Firmware Update
- Network Hardening
- Removing Protocols
- Business As Usual
- Configuring and maintaining Checkpoint / Fortinet / Cisco Firewalls
Desired skills and experience:
- Knowledge of Load Balancers. Cisco ACE/F5
- Knowledge of VMware
- SAN
