Description

We're looking for one amazing human (or several dogs in a trenchcoat) to oversee and execute our Edgar Facebook advertising strategy. Facebook has already been a super successful channel for us, and we're looking to ramp up our budget and use it to get even MORE customers. You're the one to make it happen!

Edgar launched one year ago, and we already have thousands of happy, paying, fabulous customers - and we know there are thousands more out there just waiting to discover us via YOUR brilliant ads! Right now, we're growing ~20% month over month, and we bet you can help make that number even more awesome. (No pressure, right?)

Who You Are
You are an expert-level Facebook advertiser. You love spending all day with your nose in a spreadsheet digging through details and crunching numbers like a big ol' nerd. You are the best out there at data-driven decision making. You know when to test something, when to stick with what you've got, and when to start over entirely. You get a not-so-secret thrill from driving down our CAC - why, just thinking about it makes you get all tingly!

You have at least two years experience in Facebook specifically. (Well, in Facebook ads. Not just in liking funny cat videos. Though that's valuable in its own right.)

Your Resources
You will have full control over our FB ad strategy and execution. No one will be overseeing or telling you what to do - if you prefer someone breathing down your neck, this probably isn't for you. You'll have a designer and writer to support you in creative. Our ad budget is currently about $35k/mo., and you'll have full liberty to grow that as long as it's profitable! Seriously, you just focus on being awesome and we'll make it rain all over that budget.

You're not just brainstorming the ads - you're also the one in the trenches setting up, managing, and evaluating them. That means you need to love getting your hands dirty in the nitty-gritty details. Facebook ads will be YOUR baby, and you get to control the workflow, the process, and the outcomes. You're a control freak? GOOD.

We will bow to you as our resident Facebook ad expert, and bestow upon you fame and glory. You'll even help us expand our paid acquisition team in 2015 and add more people as amazing are you are! (If any such people exist. Because come ON, right?)

We're a small team of 10 people, all working remotely across the US. We do a lot of collaborating and meme-swapping on Slack, along with virtual team meetings on the regular and a twice-annual meetup week where we work together on cool projects all day and generally make fools of ourselves all night.

We're proudly bootstrapped and profitable, which means we get to turn down VC money a lot and keep doing things the way we like. We're big fans of Chet Holmes. We're also big fans of doughnuts.

Requirements
  • You would call yourself an expert in Facebook ads and have at least two years experience
  • You live anywhere in the USA, Canada, or an International Space Station that operates in these time zones
  • You are a data-driven thinker
  • You are passionate about making everyone jealous of how much business we drive from our Facebook ads
  • An awesome company culture is really important to you in deciding where to work (spoiler alert: we have one!)
