Description
Job Role:
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the (virtual) laboratory implementation via an operational ticketing system. Designs (High level and low level design), baselines and improves the implementation using new state of the art technologies (Software Defined Networks, ). Optimizes the IP/MPLS network, physical and virtual network architecture and secured VPN access to the laboratory ecosystem (Firewall). The laboratory operation professional handles also the lab configuration management (generic HW&SW releases, generic 3rd party products & solutions, customer specific releases). S/He increases and measures lab efficiency, reduces incident handling.
Technical:
- Strong ICT knowledge
- Virtualization: OpenStack/Cloud Management Systems/VMWare, Monitoring, Backup/Restore
- Networking: IP/MPLS (ALU SR product is a plus), VPN technologies for site InterconnecT, ..
- Security: Fortigate Firewall, applying results of vulnerability scanning,
- Installation and maintaining of OS systems
