Solution Architect, Network Security/Design SME, Cisco Network Infrastructure, Checkpoint Firewall Infrastructure, Milton Keynes, Long Term Contract. Network Designer.
Our Milton Keynes based client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect who will be the Network SME on a long term contract commencing in early September to provide specialist detailed knowledge of network security and network components for two major projects: Data Centre Segmentation and Network Access Control.
Key skills
- Deep experience in network and security technologies.
- Demonstrable experience of engineering delivery.
- Background in whole solution life cycle.
- Comprehensive understanding Cisco network infrastructure.
- Comprehensive understanding of Checkpoint Firewall infrastructure.
Key Activities
- Provide detailed network security, network design and network component/infrastructure technical input.
- Produce option assessments and technical designs in the following areas:
- Firewall solutions from Cisco/Checkpoint/Juniper
- NAC design methodologies from Cisco as well as how this compares with other leading manufacturers
- Cisco switch and routing infrastructure
- Assist with the definition of the configuration of Firewalls and network infrastructure components
- Act as the main technical point of contact for liaison with client and supplier network experts
- Provide an understanding of the current network infrastructure and how this will be impacted by the Technical Controls projects
- Assist with the production of the detailed technical implementation plans
- Provide technical input to support the test planning and testing phases of the project
- Provide technical assistance to support the definition of technical processes and business processes related to network infrastructure.
