Real Staffing are currently recruiting for a Statistician / Bio-statistician for an 12 month maternity cover contract with a leading pharmaceutical company in Berkshire.

The statistician will act as a Trial Statistician (TSTAT) for multiple (more than three) clinical trials or act as a Project Statistician (PSTAT) for early projects, backup projects, or projects with established BI experience or act as a PSTAT-Medical Affairs (PSTAT-MA) for projects with established BI experience.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

Rate: £50 - 58 per hour

This role will be predominantly site based, but there could be some home working flexibility.

As a member of the European Biometrics and Data Management organisation, you will be responsible for supporting statistical aspects across all stages of complex clinical trials and international clinical drug development projects.

The European Biometrics and Data Management organisation is an integral partner in international clinical research. This will allow the successful candidate to work as a member of multi-national teams in a variety of clinical settings.

Candidates will need sound knowledge of statistical methodology and experience in international pharmaceutical development. It would also be advantageous to have expertise in specific statistical methodology, as well as experience in regulatory interaction and negotiations with external decision making bodies. To be successful in the role, the candidate will be able to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, demonstrating a flexible and positive attitude.

Required Capabilities:

- Ability to interact with authorities and external bodies (specialists and non-specialists) on statistical-methodological issues complex .
- Thorough knowledge of statistical methodology, processing clinical trial information and the drug development process.
- Ability to communicate statistical information to non-statisticians.
- Ability to write publications (as joint author) in clinical trials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a project from a statistical perspective.
