Conduct Risk Professional
Advantage Resourcing are currently recruiting on behalf of our Financial Services client for Conduct Risk Professionals to support senior management by managing and driving continuous improvement of the payments risk management framework and culture across the organisation.
The role with involve supporting the design and delivery of a robust payments risk and controls framework and the dissemination of associated policies as well as providing advice and data to senior management to inform performance management assessments of the risk community across the business.
Core activities
*Assist the wider business risk community to proactively identify process and control weaknesses specific to Conduct Risk, escalating/reporting these through correct governance and developing remedial action plans ensuring these are robust and timely.
*Drive continuous improvement of the risk and controls environment by working in partnership with key stakeholders, internally and externally and contribute to the overall business strategy of payments.
*Develop and coordinate the implementation of local operational risk oversight arrangements, policies and processes to strengthen the payments risk and controls environment.
Key candidate skills and experience
*Detailed understanding of governance, risk management principles and methodologies, coupled with practical experience of implementing risk and control management processes (eg in a role managing an operational unit).
*Skilled in risk and trend identification and mitigation techniques.
*Ability to analyse risk metrics and translate into predictive data and action plans that anticipate and mitigate risk exposures.
*Analytical/creativity skills to resolve complex problems and/or establish alternatives where established procedures may not exist.
*Ideally you will offer considerable exposure to and active engagement with senior management to provide assurance on the effective management of their business risk policies and controls.
*Ability to identify and resolve Group-wide risks and issues, to challenge the assessment of exposure to risks within their risk category and to provide advice and guidance on its management.
