Description
The Role - Installation/Data Centre Engineer
Installation/testing of patch cables, basic server install/troubleshooting. Installing Servers and network equipment, including raid, ILO/DRAC configuration. Respond to support calls and resolve hardware and software issues. Complete system and software upgrades, and OS configuration including Windows Linux and Solaris.
The Candidate
- Basic serve config and install experience
- Strong cabling knowledge eg CAT6 testing, fibre and co-ax
- Experience of data centre rack environment and best practises
- Switching config
- Good customer facing skills - face to face and via phone
