Description

My client, a large bank, is currently recruiting for a finance manager with a background in the financial services to join a Cost Management team. This is an opportunity to join a large migration project based in Bristol on an initial 6 month contract.

Key roles:

  • Working with change and functional teams to define budgets and forecasts for all migration costs.
  • Developing a planning model to capture project forecasts, linking with the central planning team
  • Overseeing the Migration approval process
  • Running the monthly reporting process for migration costs
  • Reviewing and signing off monthly journals
  • Overseeing balance sheet (including intercompany) reconciliation of migration postings
  • Providing insightful month-end commentary
  • Developing a rolling forecast process in conjunction with project managers
  • Identifying and effectively communicating risks and opportunities to the plan
  • Supporting the central project team in identifying and realising on-going costs and benefits
  • Contributing to business case development
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and updates to a range of finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of the to-be Finance cost model

Key Experience:

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Have previous SAP experience
  • Be a logical thinker and have a proven ability to translate complex information into a concise story with clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Have experience in analytical finance roles
