Description
1st Line Helpdesk Engineer / ServiceDesk / IT Support Engineer is required to join an established IT support company based in Cheshire for an initial 3 months.Type: 3-6 month contract
Rate: £13-15 per hour
Location: Cheshire
Start Date: ASAP
As the 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer / IT Support Engineer you will be:
- An experienced, and talented Helpdesk / IT Support engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career.
- Able to demonstrate a "Can Do" attitude being willing to go the 'extra mile` in helping solve client issues
- Able to communicate well with customers and colleagues keeping customers updated at all times
- A real team player.
- Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
- Flexible in your approach to travel and projects undertaken
- Willing to be part of the out of hours on-call rota
- Smart both mentally and in physical appearance
- Fluent English speaking.
- Be the point of escalation for 1st line tickets
Skills required
- MCITP level, or willing to prove ability to support at this level
- MS Office - all versions.
- Knowledge of Antivirus applications.
- Knowledge of Backup applications.
- Windows XP/Vista/7 desktop support.
- Active Directory administration
- Server Support and administration experience is desirable
