My client is seeking a highly experiences technically minded Release Manager to join them in Citywest, Dublin
Main Purpose of the Role:
To functionally manage project and production environments in relation to software releases and software change management. Liaise with multiple stakeholders, external vendors, to facilitate orderly roll out, testing and sign-off of software releases across complex suite of test environments.
Promote best practices of release and environments management.
Role Components:
- Release Management
- Monitoring and approval of releases and change requests.
- Providing release governance across multiple development and infrastructure projects.
- Manage coding and release workshops
- Environments Management
- Management of development and production environments.
- Improving processes around environments and supporting efficient usage and delivery of test environments.
- Change Management
- Implementing/standardizing change management under the wider umbrella of Release Management processes.
- Define and manage the change control procedures for delivering releases across environments.
- Ensure that adequate formal log of releases is maintained to demonstrate governance and to support Audit and compliance requirements.
- SCM
- Delivering best practices under SCM/Version control.
- Providing guidance on using ALM Tools.
- Configuration and Deployment Management
- Delivering configuration management best practices.
- Ownership of the deployment (code and configuration) process across systems
- Tracking and monitoring of defects associated with code deployments
- Project Management of environment build activities for projects
- Prior experience working in the insurance industry is a distinct advantage.
