Senior Product Safety Engineer - Ship/System Safety
A Senior Product Safety Engineer Services Engineer with Ship/System Safety experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Portsmouth
Overview of the Senior Product Safety Engineer contract role
A Senior Product Safety Engineer is required to support the Engineering Authority in planning, coordinating and effective delivery of Product Safety Management, Specifically to manage and review the day-to-day PS activities of the team
Key skills required for the Senior Product Safety Engineer
- Able to demonstrate a track record of managing safety issues in large or complex projects, with extensive experience in delivering naval projects for the MoD or a defence or related industry
- A wide knowledge of Product/Ship Safety management practices
- Knowledge of quality management, configuration control and audits
- Good working experiences in more than one phase of the Life Cycle Management (LCM) framework, with sufficient experience of the total LCM to enable a good understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester
