Enterprise Data Modeller
My client is aiming to become a Digital by Default' organisation, working with & utilising cloud technologies & suppliers as appropriate and requires an Enterprise Data Modeller who will have the responsibility for leading and empowering their team to define and drive forwards their Enterprise Data Model, leading the execution by moving people to action, and through participation in the wider Technology Architecture function on significant initiatives across the data domain and ensure strict alignment to the overall IT Architecture Strategy.
The successful Candidate will:
Provide sound understanding of internal and external industry best practices around enterprise/corporate Datamodelling
Be accountable for leading and embedding the Enterprise Data Model across the whole Department, ensuring that stakeholders are engaged and understand the benefits of standardising data ensuring the maximum value can be obtained.
Key accountabilities:
- Create and maintain the Enterprise Data Model (EDM)

Work with business users and data architects to ensure all business areas are represented in the EDM

Create conceptual, logical and physical representations of our EDM, prioritizing to deliver early business value

Create and maintain the enterprise metadata repository to ensure data elements have concise, consistent, and unambiguous definitions recognized by business users

Clearly communicate the EDM and its benefits to systems' developers, business owners and other key stakeholders

Ensure the EDM remains relevant by extending to serve new business changes
Experience/Technical Skills Required:
-
Data-modelling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level

5+ years' experience in data management

Demonstrable experience of creating EDM and associated data management processes

E-R, dimensional conceptual, logical & physical Datamodelling

Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies, ontologies as well as the challenges of managing unstructured data sources

Experience reconciling and refining data across different systems Expertise with Datamodelling tool, preferably ERwin

Customer-friendly delivery focus
