Financial Reporting Manager required for a 3 month contract, on assignment with one of the leading commercial banks, based in Gloucestershire.
The Financial Reporting Manager will be part of a team focusing on the accuracy and completeness of product income statements and balance sheets and then interpreting the results through detailed analysis.
You'll be joining colleagues in managing monthly reviews of financial results and quarterly reporting - reviewing journals, delivering statutory accounts and other regulatory returns whilst also working on a host of projects and work streams alongside other teams.
The collaborative environment will also see you working with colleagues from Investment Accounting, Actuarial teams and other finance teams on a regular basis. You'll be using your increasing knowledge of the industry and new-found technical accounting skills to both influence the business at all levels and add substance to your reporting.
The Financial Reporting Manager will need the following skills/experience:
- Practical experience working within practice or a relatively large Finance/Accounting function within industry to meet their reporting deadlines.
- They will also need SII related accounting experience.
- The confidence and ability to deliver a set of accounts but rigorously analyse and interpret the movement of large balances, trends and variances to senior stakeholders
- Natural flair for communicating technical information to non-technical audiences and a desire to support our junior
