Role: Senior Business Change Programme Manager

Location: Manchester

Duration: Initial 3-6 month contract, tbc, but programme scoped for 4 years Rate: £/day, no additional expenses for travel/accommodation to base location will be paid on top of this

My client are currently in the scoping phase of a major multi-year business transformation programme which is being enabled by delivery of new core IT operations systems. This role is to act as the business representative to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the IT Delivery PM to deliver, while being responsible for all change management for programme in terms of impact on people, processes, policies, targets and training etc.

This is a highly complex, cross functional programme with CXO level stakeholder exposure and engagement, managing cross-functional teams. Scoping and shaping phase is currently being completed at a high level.

The role will initially focus on:

- Mobilisation, including recruiting and defining your team

- Leading the RFP for the business

- Delivering identified early-win projects

- Delivering multi-year planning at a detailed level

I am looking for candidates with the following experience to be considered for this role:

- 5-10+ year track record of successful delivery of highly complex, cross-functional change programmes

- Essential that your experience is strongly weighted towards business change / change management. The client will not consider Programme Managers whose experience is more IT/systems delivery focused.

- Experience working on IT enabled business change is a must - you must be able to translate business into technical requirements, and have demonstrable experience working in this kind of hybrid role previously

- £5m+ budget responsibility;

- CXO level stakeholder engagement;

- Must have extensive retail experience e.g. around forecasting & replenishment, pricing, promotions, ranging, merchandising, inventory management etc. Candidates without this background will not be considered

- Experience managing ERP process and 3rd parties would be highly beneficial

- Gravitas and credibility within the retail world to Executive level is a must
