Windows 2nd line Support Engineer - Maastricht - 6 Month contract
Windows 2nd line Support Engineer required by my client a global software and services provider for an initial 6 month contract paying up to €140 per day.
Responsibilities
As part of the ongoing tasks, the IT PC Support employee is responsible for:
*Ensuring compliance with IT policies, standards and procedures (compliance with ISO20K industry standards)
*Curry out and IT projects for upgrades of PC hardware and peripherals
*Provide second level support for internal customers in The Netherlands and other sites in Europe.
*Provide assistance when required for other professional teams.
*Maintain and develop IT infrastructure in Europe.
*Monitor the local Data Center.
*Curry out IT projects for software configuration on operating systems and applications.
*Carry out fault diagnosis/fix on PC systems and peripherals.
*Carry out support for Networks and Data Centre as directed by professional teams
*Learn how to carry out fault diagnosis/fix of the data and voice network, cabling infrastructure and telephony systems.
Essential
*Proven record of 1 year of Second level support for a medium/large size company.
*Remote Support experience.
*Proficiency in supporting various Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Server 2008).
*Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office Suite.
*Strong hardware knowledge of PCs, laptops, and peripherals.
*Experience in troubleshooting LAN related issues.
*Experience with customer support ticketing system.
*Able to work overtime
*Able to travel
Desirable
*MCSE, MCP, CCNA, ITIL certifications
*Experience in Servers installations and backup
*Data Center and comm. support experience.
*Experience working with Microsoft SCCM
