SC Cleared (ESSENTIAL) Cyber Security Consultant/Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst- Manchester - ASAP
Our Manchester based client is urgently seeking an experienced SC Cleared Security Operations Centre Analyst. Whilst the role will be based in Manchester, there is some flexibility (ie not every day needs to be in Manchester).
The role would suit an experienced Cyber Security Consultants/Analyst (much of the work will be around supporting development of process/procedure documents) and there could be some flexibility re not every day needing to be on site in Manchester.
You will be working with multiple stakeholders to define solutions within a complex technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst for a large infrastructure operator.
Assist in the identification of network equipment that should be monitored by the Security Operations Centre (SOC).
Assist where needed in the configuration and enablement of protective monitoring for key equipment.
Provide support and assistance for day to day SOC activities.
Mandatory Skills and Experience Required
Deep experience in network technologies.
Experience in one or more SIEM platforms.
Experience administering standard Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems (IBM ISS Site Protector, Cisco/SourceFire IPS, Snort IP(D)S.
Experience with network analysis tools such as network sniffers, TCPDUMP or Wireshark Demonstrable experience of engineering delivery.
