My local authority client is looking for a Commercial Planning & Performance Manager. The Commercial Planning & Performance Manager will be a Business Services lead for all commercial and financial activities to advise the Director on all matters relating to the commercial and financial performance of Business Services £24m revenue and £10m capital. To provide strategic direction and leadership on commercial and business issues; To provide a strategic service to Director and their management teams; To lead and develop commercial capability both within the line and directorate function to deliver and grow the financial and commercial competence required to achieve vision; To ensure Business Services has a commercial and business strategy and supporting plans to achieve its organisational goals and secure the delivery of the strategy and associated plans throughout the directorate; To provide high level support on the strategies necessary to deliver large scale organisational change to ensure alignment of people, resources and delivery to meet Business Services strategic objective; The main objectives of the Commercial Planning & Performance Manager role will be: Strategic Financial Management Financial Planning & Management Reporting Business Planning & Performance Management.

Key role on senior management team support ing the control of the Business Services Budget of circa £24m Revenue and £10m Capital. Overall responsibility for all Business Services internal and external charging and re-charging. Professional direction for Business Services in financial management and control, business planning, performance, business continuity, strategic and corporate initiatives, market and business Intelligence, reports to Cabinet and Corporate Board, communication plans, corporate plans, audit and scrutiny compliance, service improvement, health and safety, equalities and diversity and risk management. Recommendation of expenditure on improvement-related solutions. Contribution to departmental and corporate improvement.

Representing the Director of Business Services Group and the Department in dealings with the Partnership Boards, suppliers and stakeholders. Interpreting and determining matters of improvement and exercising discretion in advising on often complex, sensitive and commercial matters. Advising on solutions to complex improvement matters. Procurement and negotiation with suppliers and stakeholders.
