We have been engaged by a leading financial services business based in North West who are looking for a Project Accountant on a large programme of work.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Setting up the structure of Financial planning and management across a large portfolio of work.
- Responsible for understand the total spend of the portfolio and escalate when required.
- Working closing with the Finance team and Change Directors in order to track finances
- Benefits Management & realisation
- Setting up governance processes (Financial, Tracker Governance and Reporting) are delivered and adhered to
- Engage and manage c-level stakeholders across the business
- Work closely with Programme Managers/project accountants to ensure projects are to budget
- Creation of a new process and engage with all stakeholders.
- Put measures in place to monitor against stakeholder expectations and formally review these with stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met
Experience required:
- Experience of creating new process for Financial Tracking & Reporting
- Financial Management: Cost centre, Project Cost tracking, Cash flow analysis and Benefits Management.
- Portfolio Management, Programme Management
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrate a range of styles and techniques in leadership and communications, including influencing and negotiating.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of stakeholder management and strong governance controls and be disciplined and experienced in budget management, preferably in a large multinational corporation.
- The successful candidate will have financial services experience
This is a interim role based in the North West paying £500-£600 per day.
