Position: Senior Procurement Specialist
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh
Daily rate: Up to £300 PAYE
Up to £396.37 LTD Company Contractor
Are you an experienced Procurement Professional? Do you have experience of working in the Public Sector?
ASA are currently recruiting for a Senior Procurement Professional on behalf of our client to be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
This is an exciting work alongside a great team in a managerial procurement post.
This temporary post will commence in January 2016 and will end in June 2016 but has the option to be extended by a further 3 months. You will be working 37 hours per week.
Main Duties:
*You will lead and/or support the development, planning and implementation of procurement commodity strategies.
*You will drive value for money improvement through the provision of market and project analysis and support for the procurement processes
*You will lead on low to medium value, low/medium risk procurements.
*Supplier and Contract Management - involving the gathering, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data and information to facilitate management decisions, planning and performance reporting.
*Stakeholder Management - to work effectively with a range of stakeholders across the company as required, ensuring effective participation and buy-in. Advising on legal, policy and other requirements pertaining to procurement.
*You will ensure continuous improvement of processes and endusre performance is delivered
Requirements:
*Knowledge and understanding of public procurement.
*Good communication and relationship management skills.
*Project Management knowledge and experience
*Experience of public procurement and/or supply chain management
*Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
