ITIL Expert V3, Cisco Switches & Network Devices, Windows 7, 8, Server 2008, MS2013

We require an experienced Network support consultant to undertake an assignment with a major Government department based in Central London. You will be required to Manage ICT assets efficiently, manage the workflow and resources of the team to meet OLA/SLA's targets in line with guidance from the Service Delivery Manager, ensure staff comply with policies and procedures, ensure cost effective use of Information Systems resources, to include computer hardware, software, training facilities and staff time, respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional mannerand assist in the management of support service contracts with external providers where applicable.

Your qualifications should include ITIL Expert V3. You should also be able to demonstrate a good operational understanding Cisco Switches & Network Devices, McAfee Intrusion Detection (IPS), Solarwinds Network Monitoring Tool, Juniper and Checkpoint Firewall Technology, previous experience of supporting major business change within a large organisation. You should have previous government department experience, experience in End User Device/Computing rollout and service support desirable, demonstrated abilities in Windows 7, 8, Server 2008, MS2013.

You will also require excellent planning, organisational, communication and influencing skills in a mixed technology environment, the flexibility to work effectively in a rapidly changing and developing environment, proficiency researching and troubleshooting complex problems and errors relating to Network, an ability to mentor staff.
