For our client in the R&D industry we are looking for a Researcher Droplet Formation

Start: Mid-March
Duration: 1 Year
Language: English
Location: South-Netherlands

This project is about developing a new printhead, in which our client needs to understand and tackle droplet forming aspects and develop a tuning strategy to realize the droplet specs. This is done by root cause analysis, and designing and performing experiments. The team consists of about 12 people. The following roles are represented in the team: researchers, designers and engineers.

This is done by measuring the printhead prototypes and understand/solve artefacts. The most important thing is to understand and improve the drop forming of the printhead, and deliver improvement proposals to the functional designer of the drop forming.

The goal is to realize the droplet specs experimental verification of current models. This is done by performing experimental research on a drop watcher.

You are:
- Able to set up and perform experiments (often based on verification of modeling results), to understand the phenomena involved in a printhead as eg ink-printhead interactions.
- Able to discuss the results with relevant persons within the project, and with selected persons outside the project
- Strong in experimental physics and should be able to develop models/test charts
- Work independently on his research topics

You:
- Have at least a MSc in Physics, preferable with background in fluid dynamics
- Have at least 3 years, but preferable around 5 years of work experience as experimental Researcher
- Have a background in Physics, experimental, theory and modelling.
