Commercial and Supplier Manager
A large and prestigious Multi-Sector client based in Manchester is looking to hire the professional services of a Commercial and Supplier Manager (CSM) whose primary responsibility would be to manage relationships with strategic suppliers, in order to drive value, reduce costs and minimise issues.
Managing a team of around eight people, this role will ensure that all of the contracts & commercial agreements are fit for purpose, executed using best practice, and have commercial and contractual integrity that delivers maximum efficiencies and returns.
- To manage the wider Contracts and Commercials team and specific contracts personally up to a value of £30 million.
- To liaise with the internal procurement function to ensure all contracts and commercial agreements are fit for purpose from an operational and functional capacity.
- To build the function to support a transition and transformation programme and ensure all Contracts and commercial agreements are fit for purpose in their current & future formats.
- Develop and deploy strategic supplier business plans that lead to highly effective positive relationships between the organization and the supplier.
- Ensure that supplier governance and escalation structures are clear and enabled to ensure effective supplier performance management and reporting.
- Manage supplier risk, facilitating risk identification and mitigation strategies.
