Financial Controller (Production)
We are looking for a passionate contract/interim Financial Controller to join our growing and ambitious team based in South East London. This is an exciting opportunity to work for this growing business that supplies the major UK retailers.
The role will be the Lead Finance individual within the organisation's production site. The individual will be key to driving financial performance within the production site. There is a requirement to make significant process and systems improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Setup cost accounting for the production site
- Management and Control of the financial accounting of the production operation
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within the production site to drive performance
- As part of the production site management team review ways to make cost reductions
- Manage the business' cash position
- Period cash flow forecasting
- Manage payroll for the production site in the most efficient and effective manor
- Drive systems improvement across the site
- Monitor performance of Month and Year End Activities (for production site)
- Undertake cost of sale and other accruals
- Lead and manage the annual budgeting process for the production site
- Review opportunities to make improvements to production through capital investments
- Work with the wider business to cost up new and existing products, providing the production site costs for the product
- Team management
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
- At least 5 years' experience post qualification and extensive experience of working in a manufacturing/production business
- significant process and systems improvements
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior internal and external stakeholders from a non-finance background
- Experience of team management
- Experience of working capital management
- A commitment to driving performance and change, the confidence to challenge the status quo and a high level of integrity
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is not essential but is beneficial
