Description

The Project Manager will join the ERP programme team to play a key role in the delivery of systems changes into the Supply Chain operations function.

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and with the planned tangible business benefits. The role will manage the technical implementation/upgrade of the SAP WMS (Warehouse Management System) via a third-party and changes to the required current systems.

Specific responsibilities;
  • Creation and execution of project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Identify the resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects and scope of a project.
  • Review the deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the business.
  • Effectively apply the company methodology and enforce the project standards.
  • Minimisation of project risk.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
  • Hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to stakeholders.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Documents 'lessons learned' and shares those lessons with team members.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with third party suppliers as required and within the context of a given project.


Skills and experience required
  • Previous project management experience gained within a complex retail supply-chain environment
  • Implementation and integration of a Warehouse Management System
  • Experience of a large-scale ERP implementation (preferably SAP WMS)
  • Possesses a broad technical understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
  • Significant experience in Project Management gained in a challenging Retail environment i.e. within companies undertaking significant change programmes.
  • Experience gained within a management consultancy is highly desirable.
