Credit Risk Manager - Insurance - Financial Services

Potential Locations - London, Bristol or Norwich

This position will include credit concentration monitoring and limit setting and analysis of credit risk of asset classes, sectors and geographic regions. The primary purpose of the role is to lead on thematic and adhoc credit risk reviews and reviews on internal credit rating methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

Produce detailed credit risk reports on asset types, sectors and geographic regions, including forward-looking insight and analysis derived from trends observed in the data and other exposure analysis.

Monitoring of credit risk exposure changes and risk changes

Monitoring financial markets for emerging credit risk issues

Ensuring that credit rating assessment and methodology are appropriate for UKL investments and credit analysis needs by challenging and reviewing fund manager approaches

Contribute to the internal credit rating framework

Credit risk review of new risk exposure opportunities

The ideal candidate will have

Either a relevant degree (economics, finance, accounting or related discipline) or relevant post-graduate qualification (egCFA).

Corporate credit analysis risk experience which includes working across multiple sectors performing credit analysis of both investment & sub-investment grade counterparties.

Experience of developing and operating quantitative and qualitative risk rating methodologies.
