Work to be Performed
The context of the AD consolidation project (replacement of 19 obsolete Servers in the field), under the supervision of the designated Officer, the Contractor will perform the following tasks:
Installation, deployment of Servers based on security policy and standards
Assist the AD project in implementing Exchange 2013 in production;
Installation of VMware virtual instances, based on security policy and standards
Management of virtual environment
Migration of existing services from obsolete hardware to new server
Resolution of hardware and/or software problems reported by Global Service Desk;
Coordination with IT technical officer for migration activity;
Provide remote assistance to IT Technical Officers in the field for server replacement activity.
Provide remote assistance in the context of AD consolidation
Provide overall review of backup operations;
Fixing security issues in the server area in particular applying security patches
Capacity planning for Servers and/or disk and associated backup devices;
Assist in drafting documentation of systems and procedures;
Contribute to the organizational IT knowledge Base.
To deliver the following expected outputs:
- 19 Servers configured, deployed in the field;
- Replacement of obsolete Servers by newly deployed 19 Servers;
- All activities are performed in coordination with local IT technical officers;
- All support calls logged in the FAO service desk system (LANDesk Service Desk);
- All support calls are responded to in a professional manner and to agreed service levels. Performance will be measured on Average Initial Response Time and First Time Resolution Rates;
- All new server implementations are delivered in a professional manner and according the FAO standards;
- All operating procedures written in clear and concise English and delivered within agreed timeframes;
- The organizational IT knowledge Base is maintained up-to-date at all times.
