Proteus Europe is searching for a SAP Project Manager for a contract role for our client based in Brussels, Belgium -Our Client :-
Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company with a significant global presence with commercial operations in more than 150 countries, a network of 89 manufacturing sites, and large RandD centres in the UK, USA, Belgium and China.
They have a range of innovative products in three primary areas of Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare.
Your New role :-
In order to continuously drive and improve execution, our client has embarked on an ambitious
journey to improve the ways of working. One of the initiatives on this journey involves the harmonization and integration of the multiple processes and tools to enable time and cost tracking on aligned data. This future vision is quite clear. The approach to realize this vision, however, still needs to be defined. This is why we need to develop a clear and sustainable roadmap to ensure we deliver a solution that is fit-for-purpose for oneRandD (ex-VDD, ex-VVHS and legacy Novartis).
The long term solution is clearly defined - a harmonized end-to-end process that covers:
o Schedule - the RandD teams need to plan their work
o Budget - the planning process and tools need to be integrated with the budget and control
processes and tools)
o Actuals - time and cost tracking on aligned data
o Reports - provide the necessary reporting capabilities
The planning process, which is not yet integrated with the budget and control processes and tools, is
being reviewed and the expansion of the ERP system is currently being planned. This presents an
opportunity to define one harmonized core-solution.
In order to manage the definition and initiation of this 3 step approach, we are looking for (A) an
experienced project manager and (B) a junior resource for a 6 month period.
o To coordinate and realize the project
o Manage the scope and interdependences
o Deliver of the intermediate and final deliverables
Scope of the assignment
The scope of the assignment can be summarized as follows:
1. Assessing the current state of the budget and time tracking capabilities of RandD Vaccines
based on the requirement gathering that will have taken place upfront. (This includes the
structures and ways-of-working currently in place.)
2. Definition of the required budget and time tracking capabilities with a clear split between:
a. Minimum requirements to ensure business continuity (Short Term) and;
b. Exhaustive requirements to realize the end-state and vision (Long Term).
3. Ensuring the short term solution is put in place to ensure business continuity is guaranteed
Your Skills and experience :-
Must have
o Good understanding of and clear vision regarding RandD PM processes
o 6 or more years of experience with SAP PS and its integration with Fl and CO and/or CATS
o Proven business consulting skills including process mapping, requirements and business rules analysis
o A very strong background in Project Management
o Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks
o Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
o Superior verbal and written communication skills (EN mandatory, FR an asset)
o Self-confident / assertive behaviour, dynamic, persuasive and with strong presentation and facilitation skills;
o Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
o Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
Nice to have -
o Pharmaceutical industry experience
