I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist in Gosport for 12 months. This is a new role on a long-term contract and will be working for a global aviation, defence and space organisation. This is an SC cleared position as you will be working on MOD programmes, and so will need to be eligible to hold this level of clearance.
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for providing day to day support and management of assigned parts in support of the contract with the MOD.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively manage all assigned parts in the Common queue(s).
Action all requests for spares on a daily basis using Required Delivery Dates as the mechanism to prioritise requirements.
Generate supply solutions for all requirements that are not immediately available.
Liaise with Supplier Management and Procurement (SM&P) as required to facilitate the supply of all parts under contract.
Adopt best business practices to identify Continuous Improvement opportunities that contribute to efficiency savings and benefits for the TLCS programme.
Essential Skills:
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies, procedures, and practices for guidance.
- Works under general supervision. Products are reviewed for sound judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy.
- Interacts primarily with internal personnel and external customers. Represents the organisation on specific projects.
- You will be a fast learner and have an interest to enter the procurement industry.
