Amoria Bond is looking for an experienced systems engineer for one of our largest clients in the Amsterdam area. As a systems engineer you will be responsible for installation and de-installation, configuration, maintenance and repair of systems, networks and software. Being committed to customer satisfaction and demonstrating outstanding skills are essential, since this position interacts with regularly with customers and co-workers at various functional areas within the organisation.
Some responsibilities:
* Customer support - archiving their business goals by providing high level of technical expertise, customer focus and friendliness, being responsive and accurate at all times.
* Operational support - respond to all situations in accordance with de department procedures. Analyse, troubleshoot and react to issues promptly and professionally.
* Work closely with other system teams within the company to understand the global company strategy and adapt it to your department.
* Support and develop current and new tools allowing better efficiency and better management of the environment.
* Administration - contribute to the overall administration of the environments. Troubleshoot and assist in the maintenance of all systems (network equipment, VM infra, storage, systems and software)
* Resolve test and integration issues as required.
* Adapt existing IP networks and systems to meet new requirements
Key Skills:
* Excellent knowledge of Unix
* CISCO CCNA certification
* Knowledge of IP network protocols
* Good knowledge of Solaris and Windows OS
* Good knowledge and experience with virtual environments and cloud solutions
* Excellent communication skills
* English speaking/reading/writing is required
