Description
We're urgently on the lookout for an experienced Information Governance Consultant to work in our information governance team. This is initially a short term vacancy following a member of the team leaving.
The role sits in the Corporate IG team within Digital Services.
The main purpose of this role is to support the council and the Senior Information Risk Owner to embed the highest standards of information governance within the organisation.
The post holder will report into the Head of ICT Performance and Assurance, but will work very closely with the Information Compliance Manager and form part of the information governance team who are collectively responsible for ensuring the organisation meets its Information Governance commitments, including the Data Protection Act, Access to Information legislations and Records Management.

Records Management
It is key that the individual have substantial senior Information Governance experience across these themes. A practitioner certificate in DPA or FOI would be advantageous.
