Project Accountant - Utilities
Warwick - 6 months Contract
Role Overview
My client, a large utilities business based in the West Midlands is looking for a Project Accountant. This will be to support a key program with a budget in the millions that is in the stages of being closed down and completed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly accounts and management information
- Management of purchase orders, supplier MI and costing
- Manage, monitor and report on monthly timesheeting
- Preparation of grant claims including detailed audit trail
- Preparation of cost and funding forecasts
- Support the delivery of robust and effective processes and implementation of process improvements
Skills and Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with Financial management or project accounting experience
- Proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with multiple stakeholders across a large, complex business
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise to meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of grant frameworks is highly desirable
- Able to work effectively in a small team and on diverse projects
- Good Excel skills
- SAP Experience
