Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting a Category Manager to be based in Liverpool for an initial period of 3 months with possible extension.

Description

Extensive experience of procuring construction ancillaries & consumables including PPE, Tools and equipment on a large scale. A full understanding of the market structure and supply chain of the construction ancillaries and consumables market and experience of establishing contract solutions across the supply chain that translate into evidenced efficiencies. Ability to develop new innovative procurement solutions that maximise the aggregation and collaboration potential of the whole public sector that support the delivery of whole life cost efficiencies for customers. Ability to lead, engage and manage people, creating a high performance culture in order to deliver against stretch targets both during and following a significant period of change. Track record of innovating in order to translate business strategy into deliverable business solutions. Good senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills coupled with the ability to formulate and harness innovative ideas and initiatives. Customer and supplier relationship management experience within a commercial environment. Experience of delivering the development, implementation and delivery of strategic high value contracts for the supply of goods and services
